I'm writing an essay for a contest on fashion trends, and why it's best to be unique, and stuff, and I was wondering what you guys' opinion is on this piece:

Beauty and fashion are two completely different things. The majority of the world is always thinking that high fashion and expensive materials are what makes girls pretty. But it鈥檚 not the case, because we鈥檙e meant to be unique, not giving off the effect of just getting popped out of a mold. Long flowing blonde hair, tan flawless skin, five feet ten inches of toothpick thin right-off-the-runway looks...that鈥檚 not what real beauty is. I do believe that they are called stephanotis.

Stephanotis. It is very expensive even if used in smaller quantities. When my clients want the Jessica Simpson Bouquet I suggest a smaller one or if they have a specific budget that doesn't allow for stephanotis I use individual white dendrobium orchid buds, or white hyacinth buds. Either way there is a lot of labor invlolved and therefore more expensive than a regular bouquet but when someone really wants that look and can't afford the splurge version, the other floral options are really appealing.

These are called Stephanotis. They are very small %26amp; usually have a pearl pin inserted in the center by the florist. Since this is very time consuming %26amp; they are a very fragile flower, they are usually very expensive.

Similer to this but not done as well, she also thinned the end with some sort of comb/ scissor thing. Do I recut it even shorter for a better cut or hold out and let it grow. I went in for a trip and to have my layers redone. It was sholder length and this is not what I wanted it is horroble. I hate it

take one of your hands and hold it back in a pony

take your pointer finger from the hand that's holding it in a pony

and wrap the hair overtop of your pointer finger and take your free hand and help wrap the hair over your pointer finger hold tight with the middle finger of the hand you're holding the "pony" with.

then twist...your pointer finger will be down in the "hole" of the twist and it will help hold it in place until you can get your clip and clasp the twist. also slide bobby pins into the place where the twist meets your head....and dont worry about using too many. Then slowly pull out your finger.

Good luck, I never could do it right. I even ordered all that stuff on TV for hair. Forget what the one thing was called but it was spongy feeling (hard inside), it was about 6 or 8 inches long and was fatter in the middle. You just rolled your hair on it and then the ends would tuck under into your hair. They gave you a couple pins too. I think my problem was that my hair was just too long. Length has a lot to do with it I think. It would be nice if you had a friend that was good at it. A lot more fun too. I always had someone wanting to fix my hair, french braids and all that stuff. And I loved it, like not having all that hair for the day. You might try to search for it. I searched for home made conditioners this morning and couldn't believe all they had. Good luck.

i really liked the ashlee simpson haircut with all the layers and how choppy it looked, but i wouldnt get it colored that color. you have to be careful when you are going blonde that you dont go to light, because it might wash you out. if you do wanna go blonde, then i would recommend going to a hair stylist, and i wouldnt do it yourself, becuase there is a really really good chance that your hair would end up like a gross orange, because that happens to me alot. the hair color out of a box is really bad on your hair, and it is harsh. the box color takes all of your natural hair color out and once you go blonde you are pretty much stuck, and if you wanna go darker it will just fade out. surprisingly the salon color isnt that harsh on your hair as the box color is. the stylist can mix the right color and will make sure that it comes out the right color. if i were you i would go like to a dirty blonde and just get full highlights. and then eventually over time you will get blonder, but not to blonde that it washes you out. that is what has happened to me. i hope that you have good luck, and dont listen to what people say, going blonde is fine.

How to get rich curls ?

Hi there. I have curly curly hair too.

My hair did much the same thing, but I was taking care of it wrong. Here are my tips:

1. Only shampoo your scalp. Avoid getting it all over the ends, because it dries curly hair out. Your scalp is really the only part that could get dirty enough to need soap, and this should only be done about 2 times a week, depending on how long you can go between shampooing.

2. I use a really intensive conditioning masque, and then comb through with my FINGERS or a really really wide tooth comb. The more you work and play with your hair, the less it will curl, and the more it will frizz on you.

3. STOP using gel or serum with silicone and alcohol in it immediately. These provide temprary fixes, and dry and destroy the already dry curly hair shaft! I use a Loreal Proffesional Fibrin hair masque as a leave in conditioner, and believe me it sets better than any gel or serum I ever used! You can get it online, or from a stylist, but not in stores.

4. In all my years of curly hair (22) I have never had a positive experience with a blow dryer or diffuser. The heat no matter how low it is always puffs up the little tiny splits in a curly hair shaft, poofing all of them up en masse. I let mine air dry, and believe me, the difference in the morning is SO OBVIOUS!!!

So basically, condition deeply, and play with it as little as possible. The less you work with it, the tighter and more natural your curls will be.

Good luck with the hair, I know firsthand that some days it is a curse from hell. Try what I said, and it should help a lot.

You need a good curl defining lotion. Curls Rock by Catwalk or Ringlet by Redken are about the best. And when you use your diffuser, you need to make sure your hair is good and towel dried, don't do it when it is sopping wet. Flip your head upside down while drying so you get the under layer really well. Then finish it up with hairspray afterwards. Don't comb out your curls too much after you blow dry, this will only relax them more. And I think mousse would be fine, as long as it isn't full of alcohol. Mousse is very light and airy. Good luck!

Wow thats a lot of questions. Of the dresses--you sound "cute" (you know how girls can either be cute or beautiful or striking and they all are completely different) and as such I think the first dress looks the best.

The hair--I'm biased. I did my hair like the 2nd one. But if your hair is long enough, I think the 3rd one is gorgeous. You just have to have hair that will hold that curl and not fall flat in a couple hours.

Veil--I think short with that 1st dress. Long if you liked the 2nd dress.

Location...oh thats so tough. Well, where is the reception? If the barn is like an hour from the reception site, I wouldn't do it. Having a wedding at the church might end up being cheaper b/c a farm you'd have to rent everything. I'm 50/50 on that one though. Whats the church look like? I really wanted a pretty church with stain glass and if its just a plain, unattractive church--I'd do the farm.

Preacher or Grandfather- I say preacher. He is used to doing it, knows what he is doing. Why make your grandfather work on this day. I'd let him just enjoy the moment as a guest.

What kind of decorations? Very country. Sunflowers. Leaves. Perhaps even do "harvest" as a theme and have like cornocopias (however you spell it) for the centerpieces. I can't see it being anything barbie--with pinks and pastels. Though a deep red (or a reddish rust color) is really pretty as well. I also like for fall weddings (especially if you use the barn) to combine elegance with country simplicity. Like to forest green and gold accents. Have the decorations be classy--simplistic but very elegant--with the rustic surroundings. The wood makes it look like your decorating colors are forest green and wood, with just gold accents. A lot of 5 star restaurants are set in barns like that. We have Angus Barn.

Food- simple is best. Like a bbq. Or have a caterer do a lot of homestyle foods--mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, fried chicken, country style steak. Banana pudding. Buffet style.

But it is your wedding. What really matters is YOUR opinions! This is your special day and it should be just the way you imagine it to be. After all--we aren't even invited to the wedding so we aren't going to get to see it. If you plan it the way you want it, 10 yrs from now you'll still look back at the pictures and think the day was perfect. (Though I still love that 1st dress)

I would go for buffet style food if it's casual, and sit down for formal. Depending on who caters will make the difference in the taste of the food and what they can make.

anytime you wear something strapless you should wear your hair down because you don't want to have too much skin showing. especially if the wedding is in a church. but its your decision. so i think you should do

Born as Norma Jean Mortenson on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California to Gladys Baker, with her father閳ユ獨 identity unknown, Marilyn spent most of her early life in orphanages and foster homes, since her mother was admitted into a mental institution. Until, one day in 1937 Grace McKee Goddard a family friend decided to take her in. One day in 1942 Grace McKee Goddard could not afford to keep sixteen year old Marilyn anymore, so Marilyn either had to get married or return to an orphanage.

Marilyn chose to marry her 21 year old neighbor James Dougherty who she had been dating for just six months on July 19, 1942. After only two years of marriage James joined Merchant Marines and was sent to the South Pacific, while Marilyn took a job on the assembly line at the Radio Plane Munitions Factory. It was then, while Marilyn was working, she was discovered. Photographer David Conover from Yank Magazine saw her while taking pictures of women contributing to the war effort. He used her for the shoot, and then began sending modeling jobs her way. Within two years Marilyn was a reputable model, had begun drama classes, and career had started to take place. So after being married to Jimmy for just under four years, she divorced him.

It was then Marilyn signed her first studio contract with Twentieth Century Fox. At that time, Marilyn dyed her hair blonde and legally changed her name to Marilyn Monroe. The Shocking Miss Pilgrim in 1947 was Marilyn閳ユ獨 first movie role and from then on Marilyn just had minor parts in movies. It was 1953閳ユ獨 movie Niagara when Marilyn hit her big break, and Photoplay Magazine voted Marilyn Best New Actress Of 1953.

On January 14, 1954 at San Francisco City Hall, Marilyn married for a second time to baseball player Joe DiMaggio, this time dating for just under two years. But sadly on October 27, 1954 after being married only nine months they divorced, but still remained good friends.

and I slipped on a banana skin some idiot left on the ground. I got up, picked up the banana skin and threw it at some old lady that was coming the other way. She was wearing a green cardigan, and her hair was white. I told her I was sorry but didn't mean it. She called me a thug and hit me with her handbag. After that happened, I went into the shop and bought a loaf of bread, a tin of beans, some potatoes and a naughty magazine. Once I left the shop I threw the loaf of bread at a group of pigeons that were giving me evils, opened the tin of beans and poured them on a little boy's head who ran off crying to his mum, threw the potatoes through people's windows and pleasured myself while looking at the magazine on the swings. Go to a store that sales hair, There is one in Grand Rapids, I dont know the name of the store, but its on 28th pass division, and it next door to the dollar store, and max 10's. They will be able to help you there, and you should find it cheaper than 50 bucks. Or if you dont live around here just find a store that sales hair in your area. And i dont mean sallys either.

take the magazine to the salon...they can TRY to make the color but it may not be exactly like the color in the mag...that depends on your natural hair color, the texture of your hair and if you already have color on your hair...but it will definitely help to take the magazine with you so they can get as close as possible to what you want...
