Does using a certain product make all the difference in making your hair look great when styled to be curly/straight/wavy/etc.?
I was reading my mom's hairstyle magazine this morning and it had all these celebrities with great waves/curls and at the bottom it had the products that "made the hair look this way"
I was wondering, is this a scam or is it true? What products are best for making waves/curls? Are they all different, or do the bottles just have different lables?
Do products do all the work in styling hair?
Hair styling products do not do all the work in making your hair look great. They give the hair more body or hold to achieve the styles you see. You still have to use curling irons, hot rollers or a blow dryer with a round brush to get curls and waves.
The products all claim to have superior ingredients that make them the best but I'm not so sure they are all that different. It depends on what type of hair you have as to what type of products you should buy. You don't want a heavy product if you have really fine hair because it will weigh it down and make it look greasy but on thick hair it would work fine. Check the labels to see which one will work best with your hair type. Gel will give you more hold than mousse but is heavier in texture. Try a few different kinds and see what you think.
