can someone tell me what it is and what to ask for? it lookes as if she just has it as a lot of highlights but i dont know. i searched for light ash blonde and i got this but im not sure.

Asking for a very light almost platinum blonde on top with medium brown lowlights is the way to go. Of course taking the picture in with you is best.

yeah it looks like light ash blonde but you could also just print the picture out and bring it to your salon.
