i see them adds in the paper or magazines

i am not sure if they will work or make my hair fall out

i just want my hair to grow as long as it can

I will start by saying everyone's hair is different. However, here's the deal with growing your hair as long as it can.

You want to minimize the stress on it. Do you shampoo and condition your hair daily? What would happen if you just rinsed your hair with warm water and only used the shampoo on the roots and the hair around the roots where the hair oil accumulates when it started to feel a little greasy? What if you only used the conditioner on the very tips of your hair? This is where different people's hair differs a lot. Shampoos are designed to pull gunk off hair. But they pull the oil out too. So we use conditioners to put oil back in. Sometimes they contain silicones that coat the hair shaft. Problem is, those won't come off on their own. You have to use shampoo to remove them.

You also want to minimize the amount of hairs you see in your brush. In fact, you may want to stop using a brush and use a wide toothed comb. Many of us with long hair pin our hair up daily, and braid it at night so that it doesn't tangle. I tie a scarf over it as well. if I'm going to ride in a car or on a bike so it doesn't get wind tangles.

In my experience, hair is very hard to deal with in terms of styling until you get about mid-back with it. Once it's there, it will go into some long-hair styles. There are more styles once it hits waist-length, etc. Mine is now long enough that I can knot it up and tuck the end under on itself, and the bun holds itself without pins or elastics.

I really encourage you to do research on it. There's a good community of people growing their hair out on Livejournal, and if you search on "no-poo" and "natural hair care" or "long hair care" you'll find some informative sites. Try stuff and find what works.

and if u get ur hair cut on certain days it will also grow faster..
