Should I accept?

I recently got an offer to do a photo shoot for a hair magazine. I have had no prior experience, and therefore do not know what to expect. I was told that the shoot would take about three hours, and I would get my hair styled about two different ways. The hair and makeup products would already be paid for, but I would have to pay a $95 fee for a hair stylist. I was also told that while I am not getting paid, doing this shoot would be good experience, and it would be a good way for me to get more offers. However, I don't know if I should accept or not, so any insight would be helpful.

Should I accept?

You shouldn't have to pay for this, a legit company should be paying you. However, $95 isn't a big risk (if they wanted like $200 then I'd be really scared), if you actually have the money, then it's a fair risk - you could get completely ripped off, or you might appear in a magazine.

It does sound sketch though, if you do go through with it, make sure that you don't reveal many personal details (eg: SIN#) and pay in cash (don't risk them knowing your visa number). If the company says that they only accept VISA then run...don't do any thing for them... You may want to call the company and ensure that they won't cut or dye your hair (if these are concerns for you).

If you have the business card of the guy who offered you the photo shoot, then google the magazine or check the inside cover and contact the magazine directly and ask if they are affiliated with that guy/company doing the photos. That way you'll know it's legit.

Should I accept?

accept it, but if they ask u again and r not paying u then don't then they'll come to u with money

Should I accept?

hun sounds great except have you heard of this magazine can you find an issue of it...if not be wary...other than that go for it

Should I accept?

make your going to get your moneys worth before going and that its not a trick.

Should I accept?

dont except it. i was watching a modeling show and they were saying dont go to a company that is asking you for money right off the bat. it is most likely a scam. even if you do except it, you have experience, so what? since its probably a fake company you cant put it on your resume.
