My best friend is getting married. And we're going veil shopping this weekend. She has really, really short hair, and none of the pictures we've seen in magazines and things really seem suitable. Any advice for what we should look for?

two of our daughter's had very short hair when they married.
one wore a circle of flowers in her hair with a short veil off the back - the flowers looked very pretty with her blonde hair.
the other has very dark brown hair and wore a fairly simple tiara of rhinestones [with a long veil] which sparkled beautifully set against her dark hair!
while i loved both girl's headpieces i thought the short veil looked prettier with short hair! but thats just me!
and as bride to b suggested - a good hairdresser will prove to be worth her price!

i think a long veil would be perfect. but on top she could wair a teira (spell) u know like a princess and then the vail falling down behind her.

Im not sure myself, but I would suggest she ask her hairdresser. My sister is a hairdresser, they get so many brides they know what works and doesnt work well on different types of hair. I would have been clueless without my little sis!

Anything can be worn even if she has her head shaved. Just try on the different ones with her dress and see which she likes best. :)

I have really short hair, like pixie hair and tried on a few, do you know most of them suited me, a lot of brides have "up-do's" so you shouldn't be limited to a certain length or style, a veil that suits an up-do should also suit short hair. I ended up with a veil that hit my waist level at the back, because I am really short as well and the longer ones just swamped me.

It depends more upon what matches the dress. Usually a fingertip veil is most suitable. Also depends on whether she is having a hairpiece or tiara, too.
