What can I do if a hairdresser cut my hair completely wrong...?

I went to my usual Japanese Haidresser and the person who did my hair last time was not there, so I said o.k. to somebody else cutting it as i couldn't wait for an appointment. He initially was nice trying to show me hairstyles, but then he showed me only those standard haidresser magazines that you can find in shops here, witholding all the magazines with the styles i really wanted as my hair is relly thick and looks best whet cut with a blade. He than drew what he understood and i made some minor adjustment to the drawing, agreeing on one picture. but the he either forgot or completely misinterpreted what i wanted, with my haircut having ugly straight sissor cuts, which make my hair stick out like thick string, no texture whats however, basically he left the bit that i wanted cut and cut the bit that i wanted left...grrr. all the time being very nice, but inbetween also cutting somebody else. What can i do now? the salon is the only one i like so far, but i don't want to pay again..

hi honey,

go back to the salon, explain that you appreciated everything that that hairdresser did, but was diddapointed by the end result. say it wasnt what you expected. what they will suggest it to get your hair cut agin, and sorted for free. but this time explain that you want somene else to do it.

they wont mind. go asap because if you leave it too late they may not be able to help.

rememebr be nice, smile, appriecate their help, lsiten to eha they have to say and say to them that they are the only store you like. they will be more thatn happy to help. but if you have an attitude they will not help you.

make suree your polite to, treat them with respect, and they will appriciate you even more. becuase at the end of the day they dont want unhappy customers or reviews.

a tip for next time....

explain what you want, show a picture if possible. and then in the end ask them, what they are going to do. that way you will be 100% sure that they understand, then if it goes wrong it will be their fault.

last week i got mine cut and they did my fringe wanky. so they sorted it out for me. :D

hope i have hlped. bye honey xx

you should have said at the time, silly.

Go back to the salon and speak to the manager/owner. Stay calm and explain the situation to them about your regular hairdresser being off etc. If they are a decent, reputable salon, they should offer to try and sort the problem out for you free of charge.

i have no idea but when a salon messes up y our hair and they dont make it how you want it you can get your money back..b4 my mother went to her fav. salon and told htem to do it how she ussualy liked it and they knew so then my mpother cam home with her hair up to her ears when she usualy had her hair up to her like shoulder the lady cut her hair reallly bad and she only had the choice to cut it up to her ears so my mom got really mad and upset and got her money back

You should have said at the time how unhappy you were with the cut,but then they may have reduced the price no more.I once went to a hairdresser and ended up with a green ting she tried to cut it out and left my hair an horrendous mess and then i still had to pay for it,i cried it was awful.

Buy a hat

it might be too late now but you could try going to your usual hairdresser (the one who last did your hair) and explain that you had your hair cut in a way you didn't like it, because you are paying for a service you should be able to get a free haircut if you aren't happy with the service given

I can't work out if you are American.. but if so.. wear a wig and get a lawyer !!

Hope I'm not sterotyping you here.

I agree with someone above that you should have made it perfectly clear as to exactly you wanted hairdresser to do.. even if it meant taking a photograph from a magazine in with you.

Let the lawyer deal with it if you feel so GRRRRRRRRRRRR about it !!

When I think about what women in the Forces are going through in AFGHANISTAN and Iraq it's hard to get worked up about such a situation.. but I tried.

ring the salon up and speak to the manager

What can I do if a hairdresser cut my hair completely wrong...?

Ok just asked my sister. You can refuse to pay for the haircut or write a cheque stating that it is under protest on the back the manager should have been involved. Also at the point that you realised the you were not getting the cut you want or it was not being done in the way that you wanted you should have stopped the hairstylist and asked why they were doing it that way.

Our Sis says once your out the door then there is not a lot you can do.

She says she gets at least 5 or 6 clients a month that want her to repair the damage some cack handed stylist has done

Hope it grows out soon

Call the salon and make an sppointment with the hairdresser you do like and explain to then at the same time you are dissapointed with your hair cut but you wanted to be nice to the person and not make a scene but you would like your normal hairdresser to fix it and you should have to pay. But you still need to tip her.

What can I do if a hairdresser cut my hair completely wrong...?

You shoud def. ask for your money back.

What can I do if a hairdresser cut my hair completely wrong...?

you can either A) cry or B) going back to the haridressers and explain what had happened. ask the hairdresser you like to cut you a short and funky do you've always wanted to try

What can I do if a hairdresser cut my hair completely wrong...?

Really there is nothing you can do besides maybe having one of your friends touch it up for you. I know it is hard to tell someone you don't like it because you may hurt their feelings but it is your hair. I really don't think it would be hurtful if you were to say like... hey could you trim that up a bit or bring it down like that some more? Just hint to them. Don't me mean or nasty about it. Next time don't be so shy and tell them what you want. They are there to do a service and they want you to be satisfied.

What can I do if a hairdresser cut my hair completely wrong...?

Do what is possible for you. I would call the manager and tell them what happened. Remember your hair grows back!

What can I do if a hairdresser cut my hair completely wrong...?

You have got to go back to the salon and explain nice and calmly that you are really not happy with what the guy did to your hair and would like the person who you originally wanted it done with to fix ot for you. If they are a reputable salon there should be no problem as they dont want to get a bad name for themselves. Hope it goes well!

What can I do if a hairdresser cut my hair completely wrong...?

wear hats if u hate it and yell at him idk!

What can I do if a hairdresser cut my hair completely wrong...?

well as a stylist and salon owner you should go back and complain in fact you should have never left the salon without pointing this out to the senior stylist, never ever take a none appointment with someone who is free to do your hair, why was he free ?? was he fully qualified ?? you pay good money and should never have a stylist cutting two clients at once

go back and chat with them, and sort it out
