Does shaving stimulate hair growth?

I have heard this before, and when I researched it on the internet, most of what I found was that this idea is a myth. I also read in a beauty magazine once that it's a myth. Yet other ppl. tell me it does, and it seems like it does. Does anyone else know if this is true or not? Does shaving stimulate hair growth, and can it make more hair grow in the area than before you shaved it?

Does shaving stimulate hair growth?

Yes it does. I know from experience,

Does shaving stimulate hair growth?

I have had 2 barbers who have told me it does. They also suggest finger scalp massages to get the hair growing on your head..

Does shaving stimulate hair growth?

i think its a myth, although I know it does grow back thicker then before.

Does shaving stimulate hair growth?

are you going to shave your head?!?

Does shaving stimulate hair growth?

Yes. Once you shave, hair gets darker and thicker. Thats why many people do not shave above the knee or in other places. =)

Does shaving stimulate hair growth?

Yes,.. your body goes " OMG! We are being scraped and attacked,... and MUST PROTECT!" so it grows more hair for your protection.

Added: If your talking about on your Head,.. go see a doctor you might have a medical condition or be lacking something or low on something in your body (maybe a diet change or takeing a couple vitamins a day will help).

I found something that smells like Holiday Spice. I used it as directed. I wasn't really getting results. I stopped washing my hair and useing it because I was going to color my hair,... in about a week I gained an inch of hair (while not washing or useing anything on my hair). It's called Dr. Miracle's Hot Gro Super Strength. But for like bald patches you will want to look at women's Rogain for the exact spelling there is something called like Monoxicl or something in it,... that helps with hair growth when your getting bald areas. Unless you have certain disorders/diseases/viruses.

Does shaving stimulate hair growth?

Yes,very much so!!!

Does shaving stimulate hair growth?

i don't think it stimulates hair growth i do belive the it makes the hair more thick and coarse and much more visable because of it hair grows at a rate according to the persons body cause i know some people that shave all there lives and still no beard lol

JESUS LOVES YOU

Does shaving stimulate hair growth?

Yes, I THINK it does. My mom has thicker and darker leg hair than I do. When you shave you also shave shorter hairs that you may have not noticed, they can grow back longer and thicker. I think the reason could be that the body realizes the hair is gone so after shaving multiple times the body feels the need to produce thicker hair so it does not get "lost" again. This is all just my own idea, no tests to verify it. I think waxing can stop hair growth permanently after many treatments because it can get rid of the root. Laser hair removal can do that to.
