Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

I thought of this once but as a joke and then today I saw an add in a knitting magazine for a company that will make yarn out of your cat's hair. What do you think? Would you do it?

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

no. Just because it sounds slightly--odd. And I don't use/need any yarn. But if cat hair for whatever reason made better yarn than the store-bought stuff and you would use it and it didn't hurt the cat--I guess if you feel like it :/

I saw a whole feature about it in a craft magazine.

Apparently, cat and dog hair is EXTREMELY warm and should not be used for clothing except as an accent or mixed with other fibers/yarns.

Also, you shouldn't use stinky hair (some dog hair just doesn't smell good even when it's clean.)

No, I have plenty of cat hairs around the house--I don't really want to wear them. Besides, I'm always too hot--I don't need a super-hot cat hat or whatever.

Plus, it's a little weird.

ROFL that cracked me up.

I wouldn't use MY cat's hair for yarn but I'd use YOUR cat's hair for yarn ;-)

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

Sorry but no I would not. She will need her hair to keep her warm on those cold nights in Heaven.

You can make yarn out of just about any kind of fiber. Why not? After all angora comes from either goats or rabbits.

lol if ur clothing is made out of cat hair, will it repel other cat hair??? =D

THEN i'd do it!

but idk that sounds weird, and wouldnt i have bald cats wandering around my house for a while??? =O poor kitties...i think ill stick to other materials, and just cuddling with my cats on my bed =)

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

No, cat hair is too short to make good yarn.

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

hmm well it sounds like you're looking to sell or donate your cats fur to this company and there's no harm in that :) i saw on a tv show once of this woman who made sweaters out of her dog's fur. not sure if i would wear it but some people might, like people visiting the north/south poles lol

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

Woah. I would do at, I guess, if the cat dies you have something to remember them by lol....bring them closer to your heart, physically and emotionally :P

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

no cause cat`s and dog`s use their fur to stay warm

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

Are you serious?? whoa....Cats are not used to getting their hair off for knitting purpose. They are not sheep for God's sake!!!What sort of magazine is that??geez...and obviously wouldn't do it...

I've actually thought about keeping the fur I comb out of my cat and spinning it up. Haven't done it yet. Mostly because I am a beginning spinner and cat hair is a short fiber and that makes it hard to spin!

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

No,it isnot good ,Idont have cat to,

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

Lol, I would. I did it with my dogs fur. I brushed him and twisted the fur into a big piece of yarn. Then I knitted a little one inch square with it.

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

No

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

If it meant I wasn't constantly cleaning random clumps of fur throughout my home I would definitely consider it. Note to self - the next cat will be bald!

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

I would if i could, like making yarns of someone speciall.

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

ONE WORD!!!! CRUELTY!! cats are cutee pies.. and soft and furry..why do such torture... besidesALOT of ppl are allergic to cat fur!!

Would you make yarn out of your cat's hair?

I saw something on TV once where a woman wove her own yarn from her dog's hair. *shudder*

I'd sooner have yarn made from cat hair - it's bound to smell better.

But I don't want any - mainly because I have little need for yarn. If I did, then I would absolutely love to have some! I mean, you've got an unending supply of yarn for free!
